Every June, our 5th Grade Team puts together a wonderful program to honor our fifth graders as they make their way into Middle School. June 19, 2020 is the day that we would have been celebrating our Clarendon School and Huber Street School students in a 5th Grade Promotion Ceremony at the Arthur F. Couch Performing Arts Center. Unfortunately, the quarantine of 2020 wouldn't allow us to gather together and celebrate the accomplishments of our emerging Middle Schoolers. That said, to honor our 5th Grade students, we have put together a virtual promotion ceremony. We know that nothing can replace watching your child walk across the stage, but we hope that our Elementary School Class of 2020 Virtual Ceremony helps to memorialize this life event for you and your family. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the faculty and staff of Clarendon School and Huber Street School. The hard-working professionals at these schools take great pride in educating your children. It is an honor and a privilege to work with these educators. We are proud to present the Secaucus School District Elementary School Class of 2020. Thank you, stay safe, enjoy the show and remember, there's no place like home! Sincerely, Dr. Danielle Garzon (Clarendon School Principal) Mr. Robert Valente (Huber Street School Principal) PS- We would like to offer a special thank you to Athletic Director, Charlie Voorhees for providing the inspiration for our address to the students. We grew up in an era where technology was not few people had computer to us Tik Tok was just a sound that a clock made our phones were attached to the wall that would get angry if you moved around the house that said growing up in that era provided a once-a-year treat the children to die for missing out on year The Wizard of Oz with play once a year no on demand no streaming services if you wanted to watch it if you take a closer look at the film you'll notice that the stories has some pretty profound life lessons in it you see the four main characters in the film very little in common I see that was picked up by his sister has the Mario Land of Oz the Scarecrow who was stuck on a post in the middle of a cornfield and the Cowardly Lion who was afraid own shadow all have in common we're looking for something and we believe that those four things are pretty important in order to help you get the Scarecrow wanted a brain he thought people would take him seriously if he can speak intelligently he believed that knowledge was the key to happiness and success in life how long for a heart officers were supposed to love and to feel loved in return the Cowardly Lion courage bravery confidence he needed that in order to succeed you absolutely need to believe in yourself that you're going to sell you will believe in yourself you've got a shot and Leslie do was find her way home meaning he was looking for Direction I knew that in order to get where she wanted to go you'll go nowhere fast all four of Our Heroes thought that the great and powerful wizard with Grantham with these gifts if they only brought him the principal's room I mean the witches broom much to their disappointment trailer and he has no wizard at all is just an ordinary man who likes Dorothy wants to find a way home Siri watch the movie he's start to notice that the Scarecrow kept coming up with great ideas that I helped them Advanced tell her their destination mom cared about the well-being of his team throughout the adventure he loved his friend an intern With Love by that after all she was the first to jump in anytime harm came their way and all the while old aarthi ever had to do was click her heels and repeat there's no place like home for of them already has a gift they were looking for the Scarecrow was already in Ellijay the lion was already great he's just didn't realize that sometimes that you must do things in spite of being afraid for the fifth grade class of 2020 and that they find and that no matter how far they travel or how distance I May Roam always remember there's no place like home now is principles of the Secaucus Elementary School in the class of 2020 students have completed all requirements 4th by the Secaucus Board of Education and the state of New Jersey Mike Manning draft why oh why Tim bluhm for Linda Tomas 101 beautiful last time zone turn the brightness up.
