A friendly face visits Mrs. Lopena's 2nd grade for a social studies lesson Mr. Heaney, a custodian here at Huber St., put on his firefighter hat to help with a community helpers lesson in the second grade. Mr. Heaney was able to demonstrate to the students how firefighters respond and fight fires, why firefighters have a difficult job, and how fire prevention is so important!Thank you, Mr. Heaney, for all you do for our school and community.
MVP Dance On Monday, February 10th, Huber Street School will be hosting our first M.V.P. (My Valuable Person) Valentine Dance. We are inviting each of our 1st and 2nd grade students to attend along with one very special adult. (Each student must be accompanied by an adult.) It will cost $5 per student (and their M.V.P. attends for free.) Join us for dancing, a photo booth, crafts, and light refreshments. Stay tuned for future fun events for other grades!
