Toys For Tots The Huber Street Peacekeepers, in conjunction with the town of Secaucus, is sponsoring a Holiday Toy Drive.
Hour of Code We live in a world surrounded by technology and we know that whatever field our students choose to go into as adults, their ability to succeed will increasingly depend on understanding how technology works. But only a tiny fraction of us are learning how technology works. Fewer than half of all schools teach computer science. That’s why our entire school is joining in on the largest learning event in history: The Hour of Code, during Computer Science Education Week (December 4-10). More than 100 million students worldwide have already tried an Hour of Code. Our Hour of Code is making a statement that Huber Street School is ready to teach these foundational 21st century skills. To continue bringing programming activities to your students, we want to make our Hour of Code event huge. I encourage you to volunteer, reach out to local media, share the news on social media channels and consider hosting additional Hour of Code events in the community. This is a chance to change the future of education in Secaucus.See http://hourofcode.com/us for details, and help spread the word. any questions please contact Mrs. O'Connor[email protected]
'100 Thanks Yous to our troops Mr. Bonin, Mrs. Fitzpatrick, and Ms. Holsten along with the Peace Keepers Club challenged the students of Huber Street School to contribute towards the '100 Thanks Yous' to our troops. The challenge was to create, collect, and send 100,000 Thank You letters to our troops overseas in the month of November. The letters will be sent to NASH FM in Nashville, TN and then forwarded to our troops fighting for our country! Happy Veteran's Day!

Mayor Mike Mayor Gonnelli was a great surprise visiting Huber Street School today where he delivered shark eye viewers and glitter wands to Miss Yeo’s Kindergarten students. Huber Street School is extremely grateful for his generosity to our students!
