We want to take this opportunity to wish everyone in the Huber Street School community a very happy and healthy New Year!

Tomorrow, Friday January 3rd, students are encouraged to wear a shirt that represents something about themselves. They can wear shirts about things they like, places they have been or would like to go, etc. Students must wear their uniform bottoms. - Sponsored by the SGO

Tuesday, December 17th:
1) PTA Holiday Bazaar: Huber Street School Gymnasium. Students will be able to shop for items and enter to win some exciting prizes.

2) Wear Red, Green, or Holiday Shirt with uniform bottoms- SGO Sponsored

Thursday, December 19th:
1) GEO Bee: Finals- Grades 4 & 5 in the gym
2) Grinch Day -$1 suggest donation for St Jude.
3) Drama Club Practice

Friday, December 20th:
1) One-Session Day
2) Holiday Sing-a-long for students & staff
3) Ugly Sweater Day

School will be closed for winter recess & this current decade 😉 starting Monday December 23rd, 2019. School will resume Thursday January 2nd, 2020

Spelling Bee Information ! Spelling Bee will take place January 3rd & January 4th, 2020

Congratulations to Mrs. Alexis Leppin (Huber Street School Teacher of the Year) and Mrs. Pat Brown (Educational Service Provider of the Year.)

On Wednesday, December 18th, the 5th grade Huber Street School classes of Mrs. Hackel, Mrs. Stamm, and Mr.Bonin were welcomed by three entrepreneurs and Mr. Donald Evanson. They were Todd Davis (president of the Harlem Wizards), Joe Baizath (owner of Joe's Trivia), and Sonia Bhatia (owner Being Healthy, Living Well). They spoke about their business experiences allowing students first hand information that will assist them with their Shark Tank projects that will be presented in the spring.

Retired staff members were invited back for the second annual Huber Street Holiday Luncheon, also known as The Sinatra Luncheon. Swapping memories, reminiscing, and fun was had by all! #SecaucusPride

On Thursday, December 5, 2019, Huber Street School held The Preliminary National Geographic School Bee. Students in grades 4 and 5 competed in this worthwhile and relevant competition. Congratulations to Huber Street School’s 4th and 5th grade National Geographic Bee school level finalists! Students competed tirelessly for seven strong rounds!
The following eight finalists will advance to The National Geographic Bee school finals on Thursday, December 19, 2019.
