A view from the Track Meet & Filed Day On June 11th, Huber Street School students (in grades K-3) participated in their inaugural Field Day on campus. There were 8 separate stations around the school, all having an activity to complete. The children enjoyed bouncy houses, sidewalk chalk, “Fill The Bucket” races, “Rock, Paper, Scissor Battle”, obstacle courses, musical chairs, & a”Go Noodle Dance Party” (just to name a few!) A big 'thank you' to Mayor Gonnelli and the Secaucus Town Council for supplying the bouncy houses and the pitching competition.
Highlights from Career 2019 On Monday, June 10th, students at Huber Street School participated in Career Day. This special day is set aside for students to learn about different careers and professions. This day provides students with educational and dynamic experiences that facilitates a connection between their academic pursuits and their future goals. Not to mention , tons of fun! Thank you to all who were able to participate.

Torch Run 2019 The Annual Torch Run took place on Friday, June 7th, 2019.The Secaucus Public School District, in conjunction with the Secaucus Police Department, along with more than 3,000 officers throughout the State of New Jersey, took to the streets Secaucus to help carry the "Flame of Hope" to the Special Olympics New Jersey Summer Games. The culmination of the run is the lighting of the Special Olympics New Jersey cauldron at the Opening Ceremony to officially open the 2019 Summer Games, an event that features more than 2,500 Special Olympics athletes. Thank you to all who participated.
Hudson County Battle of the Books Congratulations to the Huber Street School Gifted & Talented team that competed in the Hudson County Battle of the Books. Simran, Simran, and Richa took 2nd place in the County! Thank you to these wonderful students for representing our school so well.
Mrs. Viggiani’s 1st Grade Stem Activity Happy STEMsday from my fabulous firsties!!! Each child had to design a bubble wand using a popsicle stick, a flexible straw, pipe cleaners, and tape. Some blew bubbles and some didn’t but we all had fun trying! The wands that didn’t work, the students were quick to guess why and what they would do differently next time .

SGO Sponsored Dress Down There will be a complete dress-down day on Thursday, May 30th, 2019 in recognition of Tourette Syndrome. Students who participate are asked to donate $1. All donations will go to the Tourette Association of America. Please dress appropriately. Thank you for supporting this cause and the Huber St. School SGO.
