Curry Cafe Mrs. Curry’s 4th grade class had their annual Book Tasting 👩🏻🍳 Students experienced “fine dining” at Curry Cafe, where they were exposed to various fictional genres. The goal of the book tasting was to promote self-selected, independent reading and ignite enthusiasm for trying something new! Below are some action shots.

Mrs. Curry’s 4th Grade Students in Mrs. Curry’s 4th grade class had to design a box to hold their class Valentines. Then, students in Mrs. Ingenito and Mrs. Stamm’s 5th grade classes voted for boxes in the following categories:Most Creative, Most Recycled Parts, Best Movie/Book Character, Best Sport, Prettiest, and Judge’s Choice. WizFit Challenge The students of Huber Street School are teaming up with the World Famous Harlem Wizards to help raise funds for the Huber Street School PTA with their new WizFit Challenge fundraiser and kids experience. During a two-week period starting on 2-1-2023, our students will watch and participate in an exclusive series of six interactive video episodes led by Harlem Wizard stars Swoop and Broadway. They will get fit, learn tricks, have fun, earn prizes, and be coached on character by the Wizards.The Harlem Wizards are coming to Huber Street School on Wednesday, February 1st for a Kick Off Assembly. The Wizards will return on Wednesday, February 15th for the Graduation Celebration. Fun will be had by all!Huber Street School PTA is raising money for a new sound system for our school gym and other school upgrades.Our goal is to raise $20,000. Students can request donations from friends and family to support their participation in the WizFit Challenge. We're excited to see our school come together for this fundraising program.Registration begins today!
