Mrs. Martin’s Kindergarten Mrs. Martin’s kindergarten class enjoyed taking part in various math games this week. Using an interactive Google slide presentation, students practiced proper number formation with flashlights! Students also participated in the game "Bears in a Cave!" The game starts with a predetermined number of counters. One of the students hides a portion of them in the cave (cup). The remaining counters remain on the outside of the cup. Based on the known total, the other student guesses how many teddy bear counters are in the cave. Finally, students create a math equation that represents the addition of both groups of bears. Fun was had by all!
